We have recently added a section to the Prehistoric Midwest website where you will be able to find 3D scans of the remains of Pleistocene megafauna. These models were generously provided by Bernard Means and the Virtual Curation Lab (VCL) and represent over a dozen species of Midwestern Pleistocene megafauna! Our field guide to the Western Interior Sea is now online! This guide is organized with separate sections focused around different groups of animals whose fossils are found in deposits linked to the waters which once covered the Great Plains during the late Cretaceous period. Our website is about to go online! This site is meant to be a companion resource for our Instagram and Bluesky pages and to be a catalogue of all the illustrations made for this project so far. As we open this website we will have the Pleistocene guidebook online and we are in the process of putting together the next guide page, which will be about the prehistoric life found in the Western Interior Sea.
